Inspired by one of the best knownpoems of Edgar Allan Poe, “The Raven”, eachpieceturnseverywomaninto a hybridcreaturepossessed by thatbird of illomen, a lonely traveller.
Nested in-between the devotion of the poem’snarrator and the darkdignity of the bird of omen, a saddevil, the black furs mesh – fox, long-hairedgoat – and seem to lie in wait.
The fatal beauty of Morticia, head of the Addamsfamily, flowsintothesedelicateebony figures, thatmakes the long leather skirtsfloat and the profusion of feathersgracefulsylphlikecreatures.
Thus the glitteringsplendorleft by the soft mark of th Ravenisrevealed : the furs appear as an imperceptible silky plumage dark as the night, whileallowingdisturbingplays of iridescencecopper and bloodredomen.
